1 Thessalonians 5:17 - and never stop praying

There are many bible verses which ask us to pray and 1 Thess 5:17 encourages us to 'never stop praying', but it is also good to give God thanks for what he has done. Will you join us in thanking God?:

Give thanks:

that preparations have gone really well;
that more people have been involved in the preparations;
that we have more people attending ICCM Europe than ever before;
that a third of the participants are new to ICCM; and
that there will be an impact on global mission because of the conference.

Pray for:

Keynote speaker: David Housholder flies over from the USA to do the keynote sessions. We are looking forward to what he will be sharing with us. Please pray he has a safe journey and can touch people with what he has to say.
Travel safety: There are 60 people coming from many different countries. By plane, train and car. Please pray that everyone will have a safe (and uneventful!) journey
Preparations for ICCM-EU: We start the setup for ICCM-EU on Tuesday. With a team of around 10 people we will setup the hall, the main stage, the computer network, the audio visual equipment and ensure all the accommodation is ready.
Unity among the participants: The main goal of ICCM-EU is to make and build networks of friends that will last longer than the conference. With so many cultures and countries represented at ICCM-EU it is important to look for things that unite this group, but also unites the mission organizations that people are working with.
De Betteld: That their staff will have a good conference and be encouraged by ICCM-EU being held there again.
Workshops: We have planned 12 workshops with a wide range of subjects. Pray that the speakers final preparations will go well. Pray also for those attending ICCM-EU just to give the workshops, that they will get to De Betteld in time and all will go well.
Spiritual aspects: Pray for those doing devotional talks in the morning, that they will able to share God's word with us in a way that helps us to connect and re-connect with God.
Health: Pray that all the participants remain healthy and safe during the conference.
Covenant players: This year the 'Covenant Players' will do an hour of theater to challenge people in their spiritual life. Please pray this will go well.
Encouragement: Pray that the participants will be encouraged by one another as they seek to provide the technical tools and develop the ministries of others - ie. serving those who serve.
Hands To Serve: Only a few people are left at Hands To Serve to keep the mission running. Please pray all will go well with key people away at ICCM-EU - you can echo this prayer for all other missions too!

1 Thessalonicenzen 5:17 - Bid onophoudelijk

Er zijn veel bijbel verzen die ons vragen om te bidden. 1 Tessalonicenzen 5:17 moedigt ons aan om ‘onophoudelijk’ te bidden, maar het is ook goed om God de dank te geven voor wat hij heeft gedaan. Wilt u ons helpen om onze dankbaarheid kenbaar te maken bij God?

Dank punten:

Dat de voorbereidingen erg goed gegaan zijn.
Dat er meer mensen betrokken waren bij de voorbereidingen
Dat er meer mensen naar ICCM EU komen dan ooit tevoren.
Dat een derde van de conferentiegangers nieuw zijn bij ICCCM en
Dat er een merkbaar verschil zal zijn in zending wereldwijd ten gevolge van de conferentie.

Bid a.u.b. voor:

Hoofdspreker: David Householder vliegt speciaal voor ICCM naar Europa om bij ons te spreken. We zien er naar uit wat hij met ons gaat delen. Bid a.u.b. dat hij een veilige reis heeft en dat mensen aangeraakt worden door wat hij te zeggen heeft.
Veiligheid bij het reizen: Er komen meer dan 60 mensen van veel verschillende landen. Met het vliegtuig, de trein of per auto. Bid a.u.b. dat iedereen een veilige reis heeft zonder enige oponthoud.
Voorbereidingen voor ICCM-EU: We starten op dinsdag met het opbouwen van ICCM. Met een team van ongeveer 10 mensen gaan we de ruimte inrichten, het podium klaarzetten, het computer netwerk bouwen, de audiovisuele zaken opbouwen en zeker stellen dat alle slaapplaatsen klaar zijn voor gebruik.
Eenheid onder de conferentiegangers: Het belangrijkste doel van ICCM-EU is om vriendschappen te bouwen die langer mee gaan dan de conferentie alleen. Met zoveel culturen en landen aanwezig op ICCM is het belangrijk om te kijken naar dingen dien ons samen binden als groep en tegelijk de eenheid bevorderen binnen de zendingsorganisaties waar mensen voor werken.
De Betteld: Dat de staf van de Betteld ook een goede conferentie hebben en bemoedigd worden door de ICCM-EU conferentie die daar nu voor de 4e keer gehouden wordt.
Workshops: We hebben 12 workshops gepland met een grote variatie aan onderwerpen. Bid a.u.b. dat de laatste voorbereidingen van de sprekers goed zullen verlopen. Bid ook a.u.b. voor de sprekers die enkel naar ICCM komen om hun presentatie te geven, dat ze op tijd bij de Betteld aankomen en dat alles naar wens zal verlopen.
Geestelijke aspecten: Bid a.u.b. voor de personen die ’s ochtends een korte Bijbelstudie gaan geven, dat ze Gods Word met ons zullen delen op een manier die ons verbind of opnieuw in contact brengt met God.
Gezondheid: Bid a.u.b. dat al de deelnemers gezond en veilig zullen blijven tijdens de conferentie.
Covenant Players: Ook dit jaar is toneelgroep de ‘Covenant Players’ op ICCM aanwezig om een huur lang mensen uit te dagen in hun geestelijk leven. Bid a.u.b. dat dit goed zal gaan.
Bemoediging: Bid a.u.b. dat de deelnemers door elkaar bemoedigd worden in hun werk om de technische mogelijkheden te ontwikkelen die nodig zijn voor het zendingswerk van anderen. Met andere worden: Dienend zijn voor hen die dienen.
Stichting Hand: Er zijn slechts een aantal mensen van Stichting Hand die het dagelijkse werk in Strijen gaande houden tijdens de conferentie. Bid dat alles goed zal gaan nu een groot aantal medewerkers weg is naar ICCM-EU. Natuurlijk is dit gebed ook noodzakelijk voor andere zendingsorganisaties betrokken bij ICCM-EU.
