Trains in Germany

For those of you flying into Germany, please go to www.deutschebahn.com for train information.

Flying into Germany will make your train trip to the conference longer, at many times of the day. The DB vending machines will not give you a ticket to a Dutch train station, because you are crossing the border. So you will have to rely on the ticket office to be open (we do not have opening times for these) Please try and purchase your ticket for the return trip on the way in, this will make things much easier on leaving Doetinchem!!

If flying into Dusseldorf put in Dusseldorf flughafen and Doetinchem (not Doetinchem de Huet) At certain times of day this trip would take less than 2 hours at other times it can go to 3 ½ hours. The DB website does not give any ticket prices.

Make sure you read the info about Doetinchem station here!

If your mobile phone works in Europe please call us once you are close to Doetinchem. Please be aware that the US mobile phones might not work in Holland!! And there are almost no public phones. So if your phone might not work please call us from the airport before you catch your train (there you are more likely to be able to find a public phone that you could use and/or somebody to help you figure this out ) so we know when to pick you up at the Doetinchem station. The phone number to ring will be on this site soon.

Please be aware of the fact that in Europe you often need a PIN number to use your credit card!! We have had people travelling Europe not being able to access there money due to the fact that they did not have a PIN number for there credit card!!

If you have any trouble figuring this out please let us know. Once you have figured out train times please send us an e-mail with your flight numbers and travel plans for the train. This will give us some idea of when people should be coming into Doetinchem!!

If you have more information for this page. Please send it to us at: registration(AT)iccm-europe.org or put a comment on this page.
